I might make it. Good luck either way! I don't know if this is standard practice, I always pulled the distributor and primed the oil pump with a drill.

If you haven't done it already don't forget to put that battery on a charger, you've been using it a lot testing lights and stuff. It might not hurt to have a back up in case you have to crank the engine for a while.

With help priming the PS shouldn't take long. I had to jump back and forth between filling the reservoir and cranking the wheel back and forth so it took me a while, but still not that long. It's one of those things you will have to check every time you drive for a while to make sure you account for any air that burps out later.

Good tips!!!
Gauge is reading just over 12v, but I'll stick the charger on for the night!!

Too bad you can't be there!!!

Good luck to starting her :grinpimp:
If I wasn't working Monday/Tuesday of next week I would have been there for that.

Did you try the new sensor?

Yeah. Not the issue!
I tested the new one against the old one like we did on the bench... Values were the same on the meter.
After you left, my buddy matt dropped off his scanner, and there were no codes stored in the ECU. It probably didn't run long enough to pull anything, or it's a blank ECU.
I'm calling Howell this am.

I called Howell and talked to troy there. He asked about the check engine light. Told him when keyed on it's lit. When cranking, it goes out.
He said that is the problem. When cranking, the power is shutting down to the ECU.
So... Gotta re wire the power to the ECU.

It's all RUSTY'S fault!! Lol!!!

Makes sense, I didn't think the CEL wasn't working right. Hopefully it is an easy fix and you can get it figured out.

Yeup... Hopefully as in tonight!!! :):):)

Sorry I haven't been around. We were ou tof town and I was to cheap to pay $12 a day for Wifi at the hotel.

Came home to blown down fences and a mess, I can't really complain when you think about what others went through last week:frown:.

This is the first time I've ever done this much wiring on a car, I'm just happy the fire department wasn't involved. :flipoff2:

Hopefully I'll have a chance to get over there before the week end.

I could hardly speak cuz I was in shock. It was sort of a fluke that I figured it out and was NOT expecting it to just fire right off.

I'm in call for the weekend, so I can't get too far out of range. Probably just some easy, screwing around type stuff.
