This sounds good - anyone from SoCal80s going to participate?

I would love to but I am not allowed with my straight axle. :flipoff2:

Thanks for sharing though, I am interested to see how this turns out.

Scott, Stan? :D

I am expecting carnage as well but it will definitely be cool to see how they all fare through the trail.

Has anyone run an 80 through any of the hammer trails or is the size too much of a handicap there?

I have but not with a 80. I took my XJ through Wreckingball and Sledgehammer and lemme tell you , they weren't easy. I dont recommend it unless you dont care about body damage and you're running at least 37's w/newfields :D They are serious trails.

My friend has a nice TJ and those trails did a number on his Jeep so I will be keeping my 80 away from that particular destination. I was just curious to see if anyone had done it and what had happened if so.

One of the many reasons why i do exploring more than anything now.

Tis the reason why I bought the truck in the first place - yeah I know, I just need to find the time to do it (the baby and kids really put a damper on things - :bang: :):):)).

Funny how something that you love so much can keep you from something you love so much.

this is a quote from Jon Bundrant over on tacomaterritory.com...
Pretty cool they're going to put up full pics and bio's before the run.

"Not worked up just really excited about making this happen. We got about 10 people today that want to go. We will keep taking e-mails and then pick the 10 most qualified. When we get the final group we will post there pictures and vechicle specs along with the spotters pics and bio's. Then the only thing left to do is lay Vegas style odds on everyone and wager on who makes it and who breaks it , LOL.

Mo, I no longer drink that much :D, so you won't be seeing me at this event. Remember, my rig is still my daily :steer:, seeing it pull up to the court house scares the hell out of the District Attorney.

That is too funny. Not many lawyers show up in an FJ I imagine.

That's awesome you pull up to the courthouse in that Stan.

On another forum I saw where John B. posted that they have taken IFS vehicles up that trail before. I can't wait to see this one.

Stan also offered the DA a 'cold one' from his refrigerator one day also! Cold bottled water that is!! :flipoff2:
