can you flip a rear axle so the diff is driver side offset?
left side now on right side and vice a versa!

but it is stupid.
what i was thinking, you could rotate the housing, still have the carrier mounted the same way with some mods to the housing,like where the ring gear runs thru the housing, would have to cut the notches for the ring gear.

breathers could be welded shut and redrilled

i pulled a chevy 350,sm465 and a np205 t-case out of a donor truck.
well, the t-case output is driver side.
i originaly wanted to keep the toy t-case, but all the adapters out there are for 2wd sm465's
was thinking about flipping the rear axle to drivers side and using the np205 t-case.

well after a couple of PM's being sent and talking with woody,i think the thing to do is run a older toy t-case behind the 4wd sm465. as per woodys tech on the sm465

impossible...the rear output on a 205 is centered.

There are LOTS of centered rear diff options, and a nice link in the Tech Links that covers a bunch of them....all will give you added rear strength and allow you to keep the exisitng 465/205 combo.

a guy in town has found me one,he'll give it to me if i buy the AA kit from him $430.

could be the way to go!
