Thinking about buying my first LC

I have a 2006 100 series and my wife has a 2008 200 series LC.

My wife gave up her 2012 Subaru Outback 3.6R (reluctantly) for me to sell it and buy her a used 2008 LC to allow us more room with the reverse-facing baby seat/carrier monstronsity. It is very cramped in the front seat once You have a rear-facing seat installed in the back seat of an Outback. The 200 series has more room than the 100 series in the back seat when comparing the back seat room for baby seats.

The 100 series does everything very well and has adequate power. The mileage is not great, but my heavy right foot and the 2.5 Inch OME lift probably account for the drop in MPG on the 100 series. I removed both of the 3rd row seats from my 100. I love driving it on long trips on the highway and it is a capable offroad rig as well. I sold my FJ62 to buy my 100 series. Before that, I had a 2012 Subaru STI........ GAWD, I MISS HAVING A SPORTS CAR! :(

The 200 series is definitely much faster and more powerful. It is an even more refined SUV than the 100, and the 100 is really nice if You get the later ones like the 2006 or 2007. I unbolted one 3rd row seat on the Passenger's side and it makes it much roomier in the back for baby stroller, and to allow a kid or an adult to crawl in from the rear hatch to the 3rd row seat that remains. These seats are fine for kids or small adults/ladies only, anyone else will be uncomfortable.

Our 200 gets 17-18mpg on the highway on long trips. It gets 11-12 mpg around town.

I looked everywhere for about 2 months and lucked out and found our 2008 LC nearby to us for a good price (around $35K) with 99,000 miles on it. We have changed the oil twice now and it shows no oil use or issues. Everything is doing well and we love it as a daily family hauler and main trip vehicle.

I can't say much bad about the Sequoia, but they aren't as nice as the LC fit and finish-wise and the resale certainly doesn't stay as strong on them either.

Hope I helped a little....
