Things I learned swapping a 94 tranny

They are heavy and really heavy with a t-case still attached. There is no way I would have attempted this without a tranny jack and lift. The hard lines are a pain in the ass.. I had removed mine as part of my quest to eliminate possible points of clogging... Much easier if you remove them from the tranny first and remove the starter...you need a 32 mm socket and breaker bar to turn the engine while replacing the flex plate to torque convertor bolts.. You can never find the wrench or socket you need.. Thus lots of time spent wandering around looking for them..




And finally I have some great friends... Three guys who gave up their holiday to help me turn wrenches... Thanks guys you are the best and I owe you big!!!!
 
Ok I learned something else today... You can replace the kickdown cable or whatever it is called by merely dropping the pan.. No need to disassemble anything. Just remove the old cable and thread in the new one.. Very easy...

...otherwise, it's a 30mm.
