I bought some Tundra 18's thinking that 18's were the only rims that looked "right" on a LC but these... Wow. Puuuuuurrrr-tay.

Is there a write up anywhere? They look almost gunmetal right?

Those are stock 16's from earlier model 100's. I believe the only plus to 16's is having more sidewall, and there are some better tire size options. Personally, I run 18in tundra steelies and love them.

just like my 100. I have 2 sets of 16's (prefer the to the 18's which only stay on in summer), one set like yours. Love the look, but also love your bigger tires on them. What size are those tires? One plus for 16's is that the tires are way cheaper.......

Paint the Tundra 18s if you've already got them. They look great painted as well!

Shameless pic of my 18" Tundra steelies painted anthracite.

Yep, oem 16's from the 98-02 are my fav as well. My 18's are sitting in my shed.

I had mine powder coated gun metal at a local place, NuTec in Anaheim.

How much was it to powder coat the rims in Anaheim? Did you have to remove the tires and take just the rims to the shop or do you just drop off the car and they take care of everything?

It was $35 per rim... yes you take them bare rims. I bought some used rims which made it easier.

@Steelman I think your rims are pretty close, if not exact, to the rims in the pictures I've posted. What was your process? I know Plasidip sells anthracite.

Nothing fancy. I scuffed mine up good with a red scotch brite pad, wiped them down with alcohol and then shot them with 4-5 light coats of Duplicolor Anthracite wheel paint. Simple process with great results. Plus they are easy to touch up after a trip in the rocks.

@Steelman Nice! For Duplicolor is it the Graphite High Performance Wheel Coating?

Wheel Coating - Aerosol | Dupli-Color

I couldn't find Anthracite color on the wheel coating unless you used a different product.

That duplicolor graphite is what I used to match my center caps...
