Thermostat Housing B Motor 3.0 (Need help identifying current setup) (3 Viewers)

Hey guys,

Can someone help me identify this thermostat housing? Doesn't seem to be the stock one for the B Motor 3.0. I'm concerned about performance of it, the last shop who worked on it mentioned it could be impacting or restricting the flow from the default housing. Any clues from where this housing came from? or any ideas on this setup?

Looks like a normal upper thermostat housing for a Dyna or Coaster with no power steering (or maybe an onboard power steering pump on the engine). I don't see where the idea of it being restrictive comes from. It has a thermostat in which by nature is a restrictor valve.

The radiator cap is not original, and looks to be leaking. That's not going to help cooling.
