There’s a lot of you 200 guys in the PNW... help an 80 guy out, what tires do you run here?

I know there’s a handful of you running around the Pacific North West in your 200.

No doubt I have already passed you along the highways or around town in the wife’s 80.

Seems like tires are regional... I do not mind dropping the dough but the wet season, the ‘groomed’ trails, the various conditions within and about the North West makes me think I should take a harder look on the question of tires.

You guys in the 200 seem hip to trying tires... I want first and foremost a quiet softer tire but other than that I want an all around performer in a region that often sees wet conditions on road and slippery slopes on the maintained trails...

What’s the hot ticket in the Pacific North West.

Thanks in advance.

Jaxn, in B.C. I love my Michelin AT2’s. Great on road, decent off road and wet road, hydroplane-proof in my opinion. I’m a Michelin guy since my first 4Runner and LTX’s.

I have the BF Goodrich TAKO3s on my 200. Snowflake rated for the passes too. I have really liked them.

Markusson Hey, glad to see you’re still rolling along. Had a kid adamant about a year at University. The wife and I picked-up a pretty clean 80 instead of taking-on financing of a 200. Sometimes insurance means prudence. Had another daughter wind-up in rehab, that was shocking. I have been sober for nearly 20 years. Something in the genes I think. Lines of communication are open, she’s on the mend... maybe.

The wife and I made it to Portland. Put a new HD GSKT on the 80. Great shop in Boise Idaho did the work. Former Master Lexus tech now running his own shop. Word has spread or maybe some of those hard working oldtimers with all those vintage high dollar rigs just like his location. Pretty sure its the former because Corey at LTS Motors is wicked smart.

We are settling in here and making plans. Hopefully Redwoods with the boy (7yo) next summer.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Kreiten has some of best pics on the entire forum. Would love to see what he posted-up over the past year.

I really got to become a member of Mud. Such a rich community. I do not know about you guys over here in your 200s but we got some real artists down in the 80’s thread.

KO2. I take it as a sound endorsement. ...been anywhere interesting lately? Any threads I need to see over here? I am always green where these weekend or longer excursions are posted. Some of you 200 guys are super active out on the trails... got any trip plans in the works?
