Not like everyone didn't know it already. :)

So Saturday, one of our TTR members suffered a broken timing chain at the very bottom of the holler in Spider's Ravine. After a recovery that lasted several hours, his rig made it back to camp, with no way to get it to Dallas.

Butch and Christy worked out a plan so that Christy could trailer the rig back to Dallas, which was wayyy out of her way for her return trip to Houston. She did just that on Sunday.

The graciousness, hospitality and willingness to help others is not only what makes the off-roading community special, but shows just how much goodness in the heart of the Baker family.

PS: Later on Saturday, Butch, Jason and Jeff (along with Christy, Nick & Chad) were at our camp working on another members rig trying to diagnose an axle/hub problem, spending several hours of their valuable wheeling time.

I can only hope that someday I have the opportunity to repay the kindness and generosity shown last weekend, and I know every single member of our club feels the same way.

Thanks to everyone for a weekend that was rewarding in more ways than just wheeling. :)

I know some LSLC members are not gonna have to worry about buying beer on the 15th. ;)

Chris I gotta say Thanks also to the Bakers.

Kinda wanted to stay Sat so.......Butch passed along a sleeping bag & cot for me to use.

Can't say enough THANKS!

Sorry Kristy for saying use 2nd gear:o

Yes, I agree completely. Their hospitality is second to none. Having never met Butch and his daughters, they opened their arms to myself and my family, including dumb dog Fred! Butch, thanks for the pears too!

And Clutchee, thanks fort spotting me!

Cheers,
Jason

I rolled it up(kinda) then woke Bodean up & he said he would take care of it all..

THANKS AGAIN!

I have to give a x3 or whatever, Butch you were a life saver this weekend, not to mention Kristie coming up with the hub. It meant a lot to me guys, Chad, Jason, Nick, hell everyone that helped me fix my Dad's truck (that wasn't broken!). I hope that someday I can find a way to repay your kindness.

Where is the fawking writup? Who gives a crap about the old man...lets here about some wheeling.....

:D

FRIDAY-rebuilt shed at old camp,
Sat strapped Lily into my truck, in her car seat, and did mild trails, she loved it.
Kristie following CLutchees advise did a full throttle 2nd gear attempt on some verticle ledge, snapped rear pinion and front driveshaft.
Sunday loaded broke stuff

no problem on the birf, just repay by helping someone some time.....
