“This way, yeah... stop”

Lol

The only real issues we ran into getting the engine is were

1) I had to remove the long passenger side motor mount

2) Because of clearance issues with the exhaust we had to cut out the passenger side old oem rear motor mount. I should have just done this ahead of time but others had not so I didn’t

3) The early small square motor mounts have locating tabs on the top of them and the later mounts I used don’t have the recess for them so we had to pull them and grind them flat

Once we sorted all that out we located the height of the rear of the motor and burned in the sides of the FJ60 3 piece crossmember

We had to oval out some of the holes to get more adjustment out of the bars. We think it’s pretty close and “good enough” for me

We used the fan on the radiator to get it square as we could.

Turns out all the homework @cruiseroutfit and I did on fitting the clutch fan and T100/Taco Fan was spot on. We had 1” clearance all around

The fan was a bit close to the upper tank at the top of the arch and bottom so I trimmed the corners off the fan just to be safe

...We used the fan on the radiator to get it square as we could...

They don’t sit square from the factory, so it’s probably spot-on.

I was too close not to get some final stuff added before I called it quits.

I got the fan shroud on. Radiator. Grill. Starter. Maybe some other stuff. I forget.

Here is where I left it.

Is there a date for the race rematch yet?

Technically there would not be a rematch because I was driving my 40. The drag race would have even been worse versus the Pig.

That said at some point I plan on comparing my stock 40 to the Warthog on the dyno just to see what type increase the new motor gives.

I picked up the modified OEM FJ55 air Cleaner from @lvrlose54 aka Shaw Fab.

He cut the intake off the drivers side and rewelded it on the passenger side.

Sweet work. Making the snorkel work will give the Warthog nice clean air on the dusty roads

Thats much nicer than I see a lot the Aussies do it. Tin snips, rivets and a Fosters can...now thats patina.

Looking good!

I’m not used to seeing the word dyno on this forum.

I can imagine a dyno technician looking at his appointments for the day excited its not another common car ......then wondering what the hell

Very nice and interesting build going on. Thank you for sharing its been fun to see

I had a full week of work this week, finished a carport Project AND my daughters 100 series brakes went out. Hopefully I can finish the brakes tomorrow and get back on the Warthog. I’m taking next Wednesday off and @USMC22 is coming up and we are gonna Fire it

Hopefully I can plumb it up this weekend and have it ready
