Hey Nolen,

I know it's still early, but what's your thought on those air bags now that you've upgraded the springs? No harm in leaving them on there for now.

This truck does not have airbags. My 60 has them. Boss. Great product.

Sorry, I thought you put them on the 55. I've given it some thought when we travel with all the camping gear, she will squat a tad.

I think they are fantastic. No drawbacks at all

I either told Tom Woods the wrong pattern or they sent me the wrong one but either way a 5 minute install went to a 1 hour ordeal

Still have not been able to take it for a good long drive.....

Is it the angle of the picture or is that TW driveshaft extra beefy?

The tube diameter is smaller than the early FJ60 double cardan I removed but they both weigh about the same. Heavy.

The truck needs the double cardan to reach forward past the FJ60 3 piece crossmember I like to use for split case swaps.

The 85+ bellhousing and crossmember clocks the driveline up a few degrees to clear the crossmember and it does not translate as well in a 40/55 swap in my opinion.

I could have had my shaft lengthened but my local place is slammed.

Went to move the Warthog closer to the shop so I can look at it while I’m working on the Limo.

The Retro radio has a little LED that keeps time that has always dragged the red top down over a few days. I just keep it on a battery minder and don’t worry about it.

Today though, turned the key to prime the Sniper and it was at 11.4.....that is usually enough to fire it.

Today it went to zero. Nothing. The battery was so dead it
Would not even take a jump. Do these batteries have some kind of fusable link in them? 11.4 to zero. Nothing. Test light.

zero.

First for me in 4 decades of driving old junk.

I robbed this out of my 80 to remedy the issue. I needed the side posts and the 80 does not. I’ll find a good AGM for the 80
Next week

The Dobinsons IMS shocks I put on my Pig seem to have a bit too much rebound so I attempted to let a little Nitrogen out of them and flattened them completely 🤦‍♂️

I’m trying to get this one ready for a little trip this weekend while I thrash on the Limo as parts come available.

With two flat shocks I was dead in the water but.......

I just purchased a full suspension kit for my 60 with the adjustable MRR Dobinsons shocks so I went back to my storage and swiped the rear shocks and bolted them into the back of the Warthog

What the hell....I’d already destroyed $500 in shocks (Dobinsons is fixing them for me)

I’m going for alignment tomorrow. It’s still a bit squirrelly and I’m hoping that’s my issue (caster/toe)

meanwhile I flexed it all up and all is good. The only place it rubs is the shock. May have to cut out the Ford towers for some Ruff Stuff hoops.

Took the Warthog down to 49Tire to get my alignment specs. Turns out my toe is within spec but my caster was whacked.

I brought it home and tore the 4* caster shims out and man, what a difference that made.

Also Dialed in the MRR shocks some and most all of my goofiness is gone.

Now I need to rig up some awning mounts for my load bars. Rain this weekend in Arkansas. We need a place to huddle

Made a simple bracket to mount the Foxwing to the Front Runner load bars. My son wanted to go camping this weekend and I figure if all this shade tree fabrication blew up it’s best to do it with family. Light rain is in the forecast so we needed the cover.
