Just as I started to pull it out of the shop for a road test the ice started falling.

I did my normal test drive anyway and it all seems nice and tight. The only thing that really feels different is that the front end dives now when you slam on the brakes.

Driveshaft is out and once again it’s too muddy but I put it up on my flex bank and this is what I got. If I had not moved it all forward 1.5” I would have been fooked.

Not sure if the shackle laying flat at full stuff is going to tear anything up or not. The bump stop is fully smashed when flexed as well. Obviously I’ll need more testing but this all looks OK to me. I’ll put the rear shackles on and see how They level things out now.

Full stuff or not your shackle shouldn't hit the frame! With the front driveshaft out how do you know if you have any driveline clunk or not???

Well yeah no real engineer would do something so silky that’s a fact. I think I’ll lower my bump stops.

As for driveshaft......I sent all the specs to Tom Woods. Gonna get me a new one all special like that won’t bind. It’s amazing. The old shaft is way too short. Not 1.5” away as you would think. It’s like 4” too short. My brain does not wrap around that one

I spent the rest of the afternoon painting and putting the bumper and winch back on. I’ll do the monster rear shackles tomorrow. I can’t believe this turned into a 3 day project.....

I like the shackles you made. They look like the ones offered by Ruff Stuff.
They’ll work just fine

Holy hell they are cheap too. I just ordered some 5” ones from them to see if that keeps them off the frame

I pick a hell of a time to run out of popcorn.

That is looking good. The big downside of putting the bushing through the frame is you have to get it right the first time... no do-overs, and usually motor/trans has to be out to get the welder inside the frame

The monster Man A Fre rear shackles put the rear back up where it was before all this started and a better angle for when it squats with 52 gallons. Sitting with about 20 now. I did not install shims. Hopefully it won’t put my staft out of whack.

Take a look at the shackle I had to remove. These were installed before the monster fuel cell. That was fun.....

This thing is ghastly(er) now.

"Hopefully it won’t put my shaft out of whack."

Don't you just hate it when that happens?
