Good video
Thanks for sharing

I usually don’t waTch TFL anymore, as these days it’s pretty garbage

Nice to see a useable video by them

I liked seeing the $$$ amount as they were talking. $150k rig

Also Kurt doesn’t need to say “that’s a great question,” at every question

Thanks!

Between work, Canguro, XOverland, Expeditions7 and other persuits... I've got a lot of irons in the fire. I will be doing more videos in the coming year on the Cruiser Outfitters channel: Cruiser Outfitters

A couple hours of filming gets condensed into 16 minutes. He didn't share the times I said "that's a dumb question" ;)

As for Fast Lane Truck. I had honestly never heard of them before our trip last week. We've been blessed by Toyota USA for a second time to host a media event in which we take a dozen journalists on an "overland" adventure using the brand new 2019 TRD Pro's and our XO fleet for support/food/etc. We spend 3 days camping/driving with the journalists and it's interesting to see how they work differently and the angles of their stories. Roman from Fast Lane Truck is a hard worker, he filmed hours and hours of footage each day, some of which he's already used in videos and the bulk of which I'd guess gets left on the floor :D

I've not watched any of his older stuff so I can't comment there but I will say he started the trip preaching Jeeps and his new Land Rover and ended the trip talking about Toyota's and the mighty Land Cruiser.

Great vid. I learned a lot from that interview on the 200 XO and i like the honesty with your thoughts on the different LC models.

TFL is Jeep heavy but on the lighter side of content (not the fist-pumping crawler types). I watch them for entertainment. They should have a Land Cruiser in their fleet to up their cred.

are the CBI (I think that is what you said) sliders custom?

I'm not sure how much of their product line is available at this point but the front and rear bumpers, sliders and skid plate are from CBI and have held up great. Give them a call and see what they can do for you, great gents.

Did you do the install? I've been on the fence about sliders mostly because the install seems difficult even for people with skills. Great looking rig! Thanks for the info.

It's interesting CBI never went into full production with its bumpers. With the amount of exposure from expedition overland, you'd think they have buyers lined up out the door. Then again the 200-series is such a niche vehicle to begin with. They build a great looking product. Would be awesome if they differentiated their product from the rest with light weight or lighter weight aluminum construction. Even with as heavy as the 200-series is, lighter weight is always a bonus.

Great segment there btw.

I called them a while back. Six month lead time, needed truck for a month, 2x cost of an Aussie bumper. It is custom and lightweight though. . .

Oh it’s a few months ago, the Tjm al bumper is about 30 lbs less than a steel eq, expect to see something like that. They hadn’t built it so we were talking generalities. Once I saw the lead time and shop time I didn’t pursue further.

Al stock is quite a bit more expensive.

Got a recent quote for a Slee rear bumper, 3-7 months due to waitlist and that they are changing their manufacturing process. So, at least for near term, 6 months isn’t too far out there. A month with the truck is on the long side, though.

I agree. Always enjoyed working with Kurt for parts and nice to see him on screen. Great presence and would love to watch more.

I like that behind the scene look of what the trailer and truck looks like! Gear and food everywhere just like the rest of us!

I did not, CBI installed those at their shop
