I regularly drive my 60 on trips that are 1000 miles each way. No problem. These things will get you there.

No Worries

I just bought my third cruiser a couple of weeks ago, and 84 fj60 with 285,000 plus on it. They guy i bought it from says "you sure it will make it the 300 miles home?"

I said
"it's a cruiser, of course it will"
65 miles per hour for 300 miles i pulled in my driveway no problem.

And I consulted my crystal ball and your trip will go just as smoothly. even though it's considerably longer

Heck i bought a used 40 for parts that was driveable with one gear ( 3rd ) and drove it 55 miles home, with no tools and pretty much no floorboard. My cruisers have never left me stranded or ever let me down. Its a cruiser, drive the heck out of it. And enjoy your trip.

I am ready, just a few more days and I off. If your cruisers can, so can mine...

I drove from Jackson Hole to the Artic Ocean (alaska) and then to Panama City. 16,000 miles, three quarts of synthetic oil, and a brake line. I brought a lot of spare parts, but would do it again in a heartbeat.

Just a heads up, We are somewhere in NC and hope to make it to AL tomorrow. The cruiser is loaded down and hates to go up any type of incline. I lose speed as I go up. I am sure its because I have if full but still when I floor the cruiser it still wont go much faster. If the road is flat it will do 80mph all day. So at 60mph it starts to shake, 65mph shakes harder, 70 little shake and 75-80mph smoooth..................... But then my wife calls me and tell me to slooooooow down. So I deal with the shakes harder..... I will update with pictures when I can....

Just finished my trip from Minneapolis to denver with the cruiser loaded down towing a uHaul, also fully loaded. On flat ground, it took over a mile to reach 60mph. I got 11mpg overall. The cruiser noticed every small incline, the hills of Iowa were mountains to it. Went well, but I dont think Ill road trip the cruiser again soon.

Made it outside of ATL tonight. The trip today went much better than the day before. I switched gas type from 93 octane to 87 and the cruiser seems to run better and get more mpg with the 87 octane. Yesterday I was getting about 11, to 12 mpg with 93, and today I was getting 14-15 mpg with 87 octane. Well thats all for now..

Ok I made it to Willis Tx and the Cruiser made it with no problems at all. To anyone who plans to travel I-10 and I-12 through LA and MS and you want a place to stay like a hotel room.. Well forget about it. Book in advance. My wife and I looked for a hotel room for 6 hours before we found this dive of a hotel and they only had rooms because their team lost the sweet 16. We got lucky in Hammond LA. We searched from Biolxi MS to Hammond LA. This place had a sign on the out side that said $29.99 a nite and when I went to pay they were charging $79.99 a nite, Well I would have paid $200 at that time for some place to sleep... I will be sure to post pics later in time... Thanks for everything. I am really impressed with my cruiser...
