Well it is time for a 350.

I went and pulled a friends 1 ton 4x4 Chevy dually out of some mud Sunday and on the way home the old F passed away...

So any advice on motor mounts, wiring, radiator or anything else I will need would be greatly appreciated.

Mike, what motor are you gonna use. I have a what is supposed to be a 383 stroker tbi motor that is gonna be for sell.

I traded the POS winch that was on my truck for a TBI 350.

Always looking for stock parts if you're not staying with the 6.:grinpimp:

That is a good one Kowboy.
I figured you would recommend a good shop...:grinpimp:

Which a poor ass mechanic like me will probably need before this is over....

I will be more specific.

Any problems any one know of with the Advanced Adapters Motor mounts?
I have a $150 gift card from Razorback I figure I may as well use..

Fuel Injections Specialties the best harness for a non mechanic?

Will the stock radiator keep her cool?

It was a kick yankin on that Chevy in the mud.

But sucked at the car wash at 10pm for a hour....

NO! A good Al radiator works best. Summit's house brand Chev radiator is the most economical. We have installed them in 3 FJ-40's and had no problems. :)

Thanks Roger

And I still owe you a Shiner Banner.....

Thanks Jason

I was thinking about what a great job he did and was wishing I had taken pics of it.

Decided to start taken her apart toningt.
If you hit the starter it spins over way to easy.
Pulled all the plugs to see if I had compression and had none at all.
Thought maybe the fly wheel had sheared off the bolts so I pulled the trany and the clutch. The fly wheel spins free and moves in and out about a 1/8 inch.
I am guessing that is not good....:grinpimp:

That cain't be good :hillbilly:

Mike when you get ready to buy a harness I'll give you a guys name and number in Ft. Worth. I put his system on my jeep and it is one of the simplest things I have ever done. I believe that the harness alone is $350. I know it isn't the cheapest harness out there but it is top notch. He was a GM engineer for years and he helped Painless Wiring design there tbi harness.

Thanks Brian

That is cheaper then I thought one would run. Send me his contact info when you have a chance.
