thats pretty sweet right there! i had to check my drill press to see if it could do that too! it doesn't

Did you add that feature to your drill press or did the drill press just come with it?

does the tube deflect (move) at all when you start to notch?

There is a very small amount of deflection at the start of the cut. I position the chuck closer to the vice now and that affect is very minimal, just have to make sure every adjustment is good and tight, made that mistake a few times while getting it figured out.

The press came with these adjustments. The head rotates in the Z and Y axis as well as travels in and out on the z axis. At first I thought these adjustments were unnecessary, but I’m able to do are sorts of cool things with it.

That Notcher is uber sweet..

Yeah its really nice, got the JMR holesaws and it is smooth and stable, much better than my previous 100$ no name.
Tricktools has a nice deal going for notcher, holesaws.
