But at any rate....a plan has been made
 
Well.... Since it's the 7,8,9th and has been moved about 2.5 hours closer- I'm in.

The 4runner is experiencing some 1st gear slipping, and when I checked the fluid today, it was low.
Tomorrow after work I'll throw it up on the lift, take that trans pan off, hammer out the Missouri dent, re-seal it, and I think it will be good for another 100K. If not, I'll just wheel the Tacoma. I think I can have it lifted on 33's in about 2 hours.

I think Summers might be closed for the season. Has anyone checked on this?

I think I'll travel lite. Just the tent and mattress, and maybe the new grill.

Summers is open til the 20th.

If I bring wheelin 4runner, I will have to do all my alignments on a leaky box that is going to be replaced as soon as PSC gets me a new one, and I will puke fluid all day..... Or I will bring the 97 and ride bitch/rc wheel/spot/clutter the CB radio....

I dunno, its been a while since ive been able to just camp and passenger....could be fun.

You could always change the surgery date til after the 9th. Since you have already gone this long without it, what's a couple more days?

...as fun as that sounds....I would need 2 or 3 empty 4runners to get them to you. :D
 
Uh...you have 2 4runners.....just bring my stuff instead of camping stuff...flat tow one behind the other....easy

I think the 4runner will be ready to go for that weekend. It will be sporting a mostly straight trans pan, new radiator, new hoses, and a quarter tank of gas.

That trans pan was a pain in the ass to take off. The dipstick tube is part of the pan! And the god damn sway bar has to come off to get the pan down! So I left the sway bar off, but I'm not sure I like the way it feels or not. Trans feels good though
