I wouldn't necessarily call it direct competition but it compliments the LX very well-avg mpg still only 15mpg combined :)

Nice combo. We considered an electric car too as daily but just not ready yet. We ended up with a low mileage 2019 RX450h to replace our 2019 Honda Fit to balance out that household mpg. I think our next our next one is a fully plugin one.

After my golf r is paid off I think we'll go with the new VW ID4 variants

I always thought those RX450h would be a nice choice - I dig the luxury and had considered them too st one point. It's definitely a trip when you pull in and plug the car in to your home.

That's awesome - I am hearing good rumblings about those. What sold me on the Tesla was the tech, charging network and good blend of performance. I also really enjoy the minimalist interior cabin design. It's great there is lots of competition on the rise. Will be interesting to see how Tesla begins to respond. It was cool to pay $2k on the first day to download a software update that took a half second off the 0-60 time!

How do you like the arb gear bag? Does it keep everything dry?
Yes for sure , had it strapped up there for a week , no dust or water gets in ..works best when it's fully packed but they have a few different sizes. I usually just keep my extra gear that rarley gets used up there to free up space in the cab

Back to posting pics. Old man winter is a-coming.

You have my son’s dream car sir, I’ve driven one and I must say the golf r is more fun than a civic type r.

@silver02accord what we like about it is the panoramic sunroof. I initially like the Macan GTS (because of the pano sunroof) but after understanding that it’s real life mpg is like the LX, I looked away. The Rx450H still has the yota reliability and I get to use the same fluids (extra ones) on my LX on it and Techstream too.

Just got back from a seven day, 1,000 mile road trip through SW Colorado to see the aspens before the snow starts falling.

Hit Crested Butte, Black Canyon, Ouray, Silverton, Durango and Pagosa Springs. We unexpectedly ran Devil's Punch Bowl back by Schofield Pass, after running into a friend with a built 80 in Crested. I have always wanted to run that trail, but never had the cojones to do it alone; definitely the highlight of the trip for me.

What size is it if you don’t mind me asking? Also what did you use to strap it down and how? Is there secure mounting on the bag?

That wheel well on the LX is stuffed! Are those 35s? Looks really great and updated with the oem 200 wheels. And is this still on AHC?
haha AHC works great but she's in neutral in the photo  tires are 33s

and thanks, it took a while to get everything to come together but she's super pleased
