JLink- Nothing wrong with how it Tis... Granted built is nice, Sometimes I wish for a stock 100. Cake & Digested

thanks, I’m really enjoying how it drives stock. I have a pretty modified Tacoma, so I really don’t need much of a build on the LC.. but a little protection, better traction, and better ground clearance would be nice.

“Pretty modified” huh? that taco is in full blown overland beast mode!

i honestly think you have the best of both worlds right now. If I had a built rig like that - No way would I touch the 100 (ok maybe AHC sensor lift, new tires, running board delete but that’s it).

Let the taco do the heavy lifting and let the cruiser... Well.Cruise

That’s an old pic - look him up for new stuff. he’s still running the AHC, locked and re-geared. Ive driven it - Pics don’t do it justice (just like your taco)


as far as ride goes - you know the story. Add a bunch of steel, swap in heavy springs, put on 35s and Voila! Rides like a tank, steers like a tank, mpg like a tank... but on the upside - It is a TANK!

my suspension is a Frankenstein lift:

OME torsion bars (T bar is a t bar)
SPC uppers
Ironman Foamcell Pro Shocks (good for $)
Slinky Rear Springs ️Highly recommend (Kevin @ endless horizons outfitters)
Trail tailor diff drop & sway extensions (excellent quality)

I honestly don’t mind the ride quality but it is nice when i drive my wifes LX470 with the plush AHC for longer trips

cant wait to see what you do (or don’t do) with it !

Just found a 99 fj100 with low miles and decided to paint it amazon green and upgrade the front and rear to 06-07. Let me know your thoughts. Painted engine bay and door jams. Complete color change
