Three shots? I can do that.

Sounds good to me. That something we can knock out tomorrow? I gots air tools and cold beer.

I just picked up 7 quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil and am swapping out all 3 different tomorrow or Sunday.

Rotating knuckles is new tech to the 80 crowd? Pinion, caster and camber angles are basic stuff to anyone who has ever ran dana axles. The ignorance of the bolt on bonanza crowd in that thread is appalling.

But Matt... he's clearly not a pipefitter. Those welds. I mean, someone could die. It's for the kids. And why fix it right when you can fix it easy and cheap but wrong? Gosh. </sarcasm off>

<bangs head on desk>
AHHHHH!!!!!

There... I feel better.

lol @ "bolt on bonanza" I wish I had the skills with a welder that some folks have. I'd like to get one and start learning.

I cant weld for s*** and would always tack weld stuff, load the jeep up on a trailer and take it to the offroad connection and pay them $50-100 to fully weld stuff up. I'm done with my rock crawling days though.

those caster plates will work but are more or less bandaids with drawbacks, like people who stick wedges under leaf springs.

not new tech, but everyone has always assumed that the tie rod would contact the radius arms(which it will at some point).

It has been done before, but there hasn't been a full write-up yet. Probably because no-one wants to deal with all the 80-series peanut gallery. Sad that there is probably a lot of good 80-series tech that is held back because of that - you can see it if you ever go through other club forums. Copper state is a good example.

Ed Zachery right.
I never go into 80section anymore. I'd think our club knows a thing or two about some 80's mods... we've done some EXTREME stuff up in here!
