Who's got a 92 FSM? I need instructions on pulling the thirds. If I'm going through the trouble of pulling the thirds, and I gotta already undo the drums and pull the shafts, is it worth doing new seals and everything while I'm in there?
 
I got it on a disk. When do you need it by?

I'm not going to get to it this weekend, so next week sometime is fine. Did you download it somewhere that has a link online? Obvious question, I know.

Why are you pulling the thirds? on the front, no need for knuckle seals - just did them not too long ago. New bearings, longfield wipers, marlin seals, etc when I installed the front aussie.

On the rear, yes, but there isn't much back there on the SF. big bearings that slosh around in gear oil and never go out IIRC and a seal.

They're both leaking pretty good, and Nick gave me 2 tubes of Toyota FIPG with the truck. Figure I might as well. Perhaps I'm being optimistic though.

Gonna start troubleshooting the AC this weekend and see where I can get with it.

I need to buy you a beer and just chat about the truck. There are a bunch of questions I keep thinking of. Any idea when the last oil change was? (assuming Nick didn't do one in the 800 miles he owned it) HG, or is it not an issue on the 3FE?
 
Ready? OK! It's a major PITA to get to the point that the thirds can come out... especially just for leaks... So.... I've been known to be able to fix leaks by merely loosening the difs and squirting FIPG into the tiny crack....
It means draining the difs and lossening the nurts. But it beats pulling the axle shafts on front and rear...

Just start drinking that beer, piss in the gas tank... the 3FE will run off urine if need-be.
 
So the wife and I are in Memphis. To get onto Beale they are making everyone show ID and go through a metal detector or pat down. I have my handy rights ID card ready to show them. I'm ready and packing...

You're right. I had a crisis of conscious until I realised that I could just not come onto Beale and avoid the 'violation' of my rights. Funny now one can vote with their feet and I chose to trust the police to ensure my safety. Now I'm watching a good Blues band and a white guy higher than a kite on meth make a fool of himself.

And this cost me was a line and a metal detector? Deal!
