My boy laid his face in pancakes this morning "because they are warm".
I think I understand Hank Hill a little more every day.

Hey y'all, just wanted to introduce myself and looked like this (might be) was the spot to do it! I'm originally from the Florida panhandle, but transferred to go to school up at Auburn (War Eagle!). Anyone else from around the Auburn area? Y'all know of any good trails or camping spots within an hour or two's drive? Also, would love a spot to go shoot sometime or another, and only thing I've heard of is Tuskegee havin a range somewhere, any other suggestions? Thankya! If anyone's ever in need of some help round me just give me a buzz, always have a tow strap, cables, and couple of tool boxes in the cruiser

Welcome! I lived in Auburn for 18 years! just moved to bham this summer...
You've got the GAP to wheel... We used to have a Cruiser group down there but it died out cause all the cruisers left... There's a 4x4 group still organized, they meet on Wednesday's at Buffalo Connection at 7. They park on the backside.... at least I think they meet there, they may have recently moved it.
You've also got Morris Mountain 1.5 hours due north.
DO NOT get off the fireroads in the Nat, Forest down there.... you will be ticketed...
Any event... come up for our Saturday meetings in bham!

Wow is all I can say. Although he could be showing signs of genius by thinking outside of the box.

Oh he is smart for sure.
And definitely outside the box.

Thank yall for the replies! I'll definitely look into those places to shoot as soon as finals are over this week...

And actually I may be headed to B'ham this weekend to drive my buddy back home (he doesn't have a car here). If I do, I'll definitely come by and say hello! And if anyone's ever near here or lookin to do a ride not too far away, hit me up. I'm always down for some time in the woods.

Aren't you from PC? I lived there a few years and luckily got back to B'ham. Various places to shoot and some good hunting around Lee Co. If you like turkey there are a ton around Jackson's Gap. Welcome aboard!

I am actually! Transferred from the community college there to up here.

finally got the garage cleaned out enough to get started on some projects:

Are those hundy sliders?

Are those hundy sliders?

possibly. Someone(he can out himself if he wants) asked me about some and I had the tubes left over so I thought I would go ahead and build the rails while I was bending. I can use them on my 80 if he doesn't want them or sell them to someone else.

The 80 sliders are for Matt assuming he still wants them.

Just sayin, if you have an extra set of hundy sliders laying around, I may know of a Cruiser that could really use a set... ;)

I might know of whom you speak...

It was actually within an 1/8" of being the same length, so I cut the old flange off, took out a little bit more and then welded the flange from the 60 on. It was a lot easier that I was expecting.

I forgot the front gets shortened. That's what I had done with mine too. What did you do for a rear shaft?

I went with the 1" aluminum spacer in the rear. Mine didn't need to be lengthened that much, and really I drove around with no spacer for a month or so.

I still want them if I am that someone you refer too.

If you talk to him can you ask him if he would prefer the rub rails to be angled up or flat step style.

I'm looking for step style with no tread plates.
