?Rubberized coating?
What kind do you suggest?

If you coat it then put mats/indoor/outdoor carpet I think you'll be fine. POR-15 is one of the toughest rust blockers out there, but it has a slick finish and you can't paint over it - not sure if bedliner would stick to it. I wonder if you could add a second or third coat of POR-15 with some grout or really fine sand added to it to add traction.

Sorry that wasn't clear, I meant one or the other. Not besliner on top of por 15.

I think underbody spray is rubberized and shouldn't be as harsh on skin/dawg pads/feet.

Should be abrasion resistant and I would think if you can roll it on or spray with a gun(that has different nozzles) you can get the texture you want.

The 3m body schutz that I have on the outside is an underbody coating. It is rougher than most trucked coatings. They have another kind, I'll need to look up the name. But Rick and kitty have already warned me about how hot it will be without the carpet to insulate. So if I do this I'll need additional insulation.

I think I can handle the floor, I would just like to see what the pillars and roof look like with the headliner removed or other options of covering it back up.

I really like the interior of the expedition 7 troopies.

I think the stuff you are thinking about is the wheel well coating. That stuff never really dries hard enough to be used in high-wear areas. It does well as a sound absorber in the wheels wells, but you can gouge it with a screw driver and it will go right through.

Zack, if we had to do it over again, I think I'd put POR-15 on the floor. The Herculiner doesn't hold up well to other automotive fluids being spilled onto it, battery acid, brake fluid, tranny fluid, and has been compromised when exposed to it. I think POR-15 is more chemically resistant to such things.

Hmmmmmm...heat probably causes it to become pliable as well.

I will look around. I remember using a rubberized coating on a roof basket I made over a decade ago, it was a rrustoleum product I coated te rack with.

DP90 is thick primer that would probably work if you want texture mix sand in it otherwise pay to have it done with bedliner.

There are a couple of 100's that have bedliner covering exterior so as not to worry with scratches etc.

Kinda looks weird to me. Definitely tough though. I do really like the soft topper.

Those tires are not nearly shinny enough....

I think he used turd polish instead of tire shine. Classic newbie mistake.

This guy was actually out at the Lone Star Jambo with a bunch of the FJ guys earlier this year. Buddy of mine with a 4R snapped the pic.

Speaking of that event... this is what I was hoping Hagan had done with Lorena...

Let that dirty girl run around with her top off all the time. Looks good on a 60, probably look cooler on an 80. I like the truggy rear section too. Flexy...

I dont know why anyone would think they are in rough shape. They are regular bfg ats. Evenly worn. Not chunked. But what ever.

I have the water pump.
