If folks have been following my build thread, you would know that one of the first things I did on my Land Cruiser after importing was to put in a lift kit. OME leafs and shocks.

I spent a couple of days installing and dialing this in. It was even and perfectly symmetrical and drove like a dream.

In the last couple of weeks, I noticed that the right rear side looked a little lower, so I pulled out the tape measure and checked top of tire to fender on both sides and sure enough, about 3/4" difference. The only difference lately is the cruiser has been sitting a while in the garage because I have been driving and working on other vehicles.

This suspension is only 4.5 years old. Bushings appear fine and I keep the shackles greased. The ride is still smooth, and it 'might' be my imagination, but I feel like it is slightly softer/more right rear sag when cornering to the left. I will occaisionally hear a 'clunk' from the rear at lower speeds and manuvering about.

I have loaded it up once a year for a couple of weeks trip I do, but nothing crazy. No hitting holes at speed, or anything like that in my memory.

What has been the consensus on fixes? My thoughts were to just take it to a spring shop and have them re-arch the sagging spring to bring it back to level whenever I can get to it in the never ending jobs list... Communities thoughts? Thanks for reading...

is it level with you in it?
No, as it is sagging on the same side (RHD) - and I am not THAT big... ~220lbs

Is it just the possibility that not all springs are the same? Could the quality control be that off? I suppose I could swap the springs around and see what that does to whole vehicle. If the situation does not change, then I would know it is not the spring... but then that thought is disturbing in itself as that would open a can of worms in what could be causing it and why out of the blue over time?

I was really just seeing if there was a general consensus yet on why this seems to happen on Land Cruisers. Is weight distribution that off on these, that one spring will always wear more than another? 4.5 years of generally light duty use seems short.

yeah, seems a common problem on our 70's with leaf springs. if you don't find an answer you could add a 1/4' or slightly larger spacer between the axle and the leaf spring to level it out. I've used spacers to lower my Ute a little bit after installing a 2" lift kit, so my Ute will fit in the garage.

Just measured mine (tire to flare) and there is also a discrepancy between sides, and I'm running springs from a different company than yourself.

LH: 165mm
RH: 153mm

A little less than yours at just under 0.5". I don't really notice it, but I'm sure I will now LOL.
