I think you put it together wrong. Your roof is a lot lower and windshield more narrow.

I second that observation...did you bob the back?

Well it doesn't really have to do with the 80 but I installed a deep sink in the garage tonight.
It will help keep the grease out side. It will also help with my wine .

Thought I would post some picks

Here is my last love A true beast. My dad had bought it new and I acquired it with 90k. It was a special order (XLT with vinyl floors).

The 80 when I brought her home. I would kill to find one just like it now... but maybe blue or gray.

Shortly after; Messing around on my old job site. I remember being amazed and a little scared at how well it did going up and down those ledges. I had a fully built bronco in the late 90s and from what I can recall it was maybe a hair more capable than the cruiser at this stage.

I dropped a ledge and tore my cats apart that day :meh:

Messing around in some woods.
First pice of armor ( used slee sliders)

First trip to SCC.. I was out trying to call my wife to tell her I was still alive.
I had made it late the night before and woke up to some one telling me that my tent was about to float away.

About a year later ARB Bumper and WARN winch.
This is still at my old job site it was a decon station for the dump tucks to be used after they dump there loads of contaminated soil before departing to get anothor.
Makes for a good Cruiser wash.

Something's missing in that last one...

Couple of somethings...

Shes looking good!

You still have that roof basket? Willing to sell? I am buying Matts Thule rack for the gold truck, id like a roof basket to throw on the red one...

Nope I sold it a while ago.
It was an INTI you can still get them if you are willing to pay.

They're expensive to get now. I've seen a few threads in the past.

full bodied 80's need full sized racks. I typically rolled deep with one mainly because it was a "roof slider". Can't tell you how many times I laid my roof rack into a tree in tight off-camber situations. I rarely used it as a roof rack... mainly protection... something to think about.

I killed an aluminum rack doing that once... Even if I had Matt's badass rack at the time i dont know how that could have been a slider I feel like the gutters would failed.

Sent usin the "new" app.

Well the good news is that the engine has been running nice and cool since I replaced the radiator. I am now convinced my issue had to do with the fan getting into it (one of the two times).

The bad news is that my transmission has started to flake out. I am hoping that it's just from contaminated fluid related to the radiator. I flushed the radiator today and put about 4 gallons of new fluid in today I hope this fixes my issue.
The flush was ridiculously easy and only takes about twenty minutes.
If anyone wants to do this I have all the stuff and would be glad to help.

By the way I'm on a road her and I had already driven about a 100 yards into the water...
Where the picture was taken the water was standing still but you see its moving pretty well in front of me.
It was some serious flooding.

flash floods ain't no joke in that region.

Well swapped #2 solenoid... No go.
There is a test procedure but due to time i just swapped it and crossed my fingers.
I am now going to try to switch it with the other solenoid that might be causing the issue.
If that doesn't work I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
I would just buy a used transmission but I'm not convinced the issue is mechanical.
There is a road test that involves unplugging the solenoids and shifting manually.
When I do that, it seems to shift fine.

FYI..
Do not over torque the transmission pan bolts.
I snapped one (it really didn't take that much force).
Hopefully when I drop the pan again there will be enough of the bolt left to grab with a vise grips.

If anyone has a good suggestion for fixing the transmission I am open.
I don't mind swapping it but I need to prove its not the ECU first.

So swapped the solenoids around; still no good.
Guessing next step is a new (used) transmission.
Might post up on the 80s forum but from my searching there isn't much help when it comes to transmissions.
