Hi All

Having the transmission to transfer case oil movement problem and I'm wondering if anyone has tried to install some kind of tube from the transfer fill hole to the tranny drain plug to equalize the situation? Thanks

Yeah I did it. Seems to work fine, but you need to go from fill hole to fill hole (not drains).

I posted it on here, search under fireflyr.

Heck, I hope this is correct. I drilled and tapped my drain plugs and installed the fittings. The oil line was made at Napa for about $10.

Howdy! Nice looking setup. But since this is a gravity feed, not pressurized, you can just use hose barbs and fuel line. Mine lasted for years because I was way too lazy to pull the driveline and fix it. John

The fill hole on the tranny seems too high to allow the oil from the transfer to move uphill.

Howdy! It is very common for the seal between the two boxes to have a minor leak that allows the transfer case to "pump the oil into the transmission. The home made plumbing allows the excess to drain back into the transfer case. If you have it draining from the transmission into the transfer case, this setup will not help. You will have to pull the driveline and reseal it. John

My transmission was leaking out of the top, so I figured the oil needed to go back into the t-case. I've driven it for about 5000 miles and have a drop every now and then, but no problems.

Mine is pumping from the tranny into the transfer:bang:
Well, you COULD try plugging the vent on the transfer case so it holds a bit of pressure and the tranny juice can't get in, but that's probably not a good idea. How often do you have to refill the transmission? How bad do you want to pull the driveline and reseal it? John

The problem is normally gear oil moving up into the tranny. Right? I've run this line before and it worked great.
