Is just like when we were kids... cleaning up the mess afterwards!

What do u guys like to do. Self spray wash, soft cloth auto with undercarriage, do you like to spray something in there to soften?

Enlighten me after my first time mudding a couple weeks ago and a couple car washes later!

Manual lawn sprinkler. Long one that moves back and forth. Place under front of truck. Let it run for an hour. Drink a beer. Move it to the middle for an hour. Drink a beer. Move it to the rear for an hour. Drink a beer. Then power wash nooks and crannies. I do it in a manual car wash in clear coat mode. It cleans and glosses things up.

Dirt, what dirt? That is super clean, and no rust to boot!

Website says it all "I Hate Mud".

Personally I avoid mud whenever possible. When it comes to clean up, invest in a power washer (electric is fine) and a foamer. The soap foam sticks will stick to the dirt pretty well and soften it some. Rinse, then property wash the painted surfaces.

Hot soapy water, small stiff bristled brush for nonpainted surface, some simple green on metal parts and then low to medium pressure wash. Clay is just stubborn and sometimes it just has to wear off. In general maintenance i try to clean the underside even on normal daily driving clean up washes. I do like the simplicity of the lawn sprinkler method mentioned.

A sprinkler will work but if there is so much crud under there that you need this method, it can leave a huge mess on the driveway. Park your rig on grass if you have a spot.... or use your neighbors drive ;).

All my trucks were bought third or fourth hand so I don’t care how shiny they are underneath. OTH I hate a dirty engine.... the part that shows when you pop the hood.

I go to the automatic car wash and pay extra for the undercarriage wash. But then I’m a lazy SOB.

Haha. Agreed then again super clean is relative. This is a 17 that is now muddy! So in that context it's super dirty ;-)
