ok so I picked up a pick up a while back. I’ve been busy tinkering with him when I’m not driving him. He’s a general duty farm rig.

This is him coming home on the trailer. Thanks to Paul and Charla for helping me get it. Charla basically made me buy it.. true story...

It really only needed a starter and other than that ran like a top. Prado approved the new whip

I documented the frame repair in another thread. That was really the worst thing about the truck...

This past weekend I’ve been working on underlander prep. New bumper, new winch, a spartan locker and some LED aux lights

Next was going after the enormous hole in the floor. I’ve nearly lost a bottle of oil and have also been sprayed with mud from the front tire.... it was bad..

A little more progress and cardboard became steel. This isn’t pretty but it is functional. Tearing into this thing has shown me I’ll be ordering an alum tub for when the truck gets really pretty someday.

More welding, a few more patches to close the gaps to “copious amounts of seam sealer” tightness

More progress and getting ready to put the seat in. Truck should be sealed up from the outside now. Might even be warmer but certainly shouldn’t get mud through floor.

Had to patch the trans tunnel in 2 spots to make sure things would seal up.

A little primer and rocker guard and this is underlander done.
