I decide to add some sound to my fj40 but didn’t want to spend much money so I started looking for stereo components on the cheap with relatively good customer reviews. I’m not a cd guy anymore so just wanted Bluetooth capability and plug in aux for music. The first thing I purchased was this very cheap stereo it’s half The size of a normal single din seeing it doesn’t take cds $24.99
The next thing I decide on was speakers. These got good reviews and only $18.99.
After an initial test of the speakers I knew something was missing. As a music lover and someone who spends much time in LA traffic, good sound is a must. For that you need a sub. I didn’t want anything big so I bought another boss product, an 8” sub for $19.99
From this point I was going to build my own enclosure to accommodate the sub and speakers, that is until I weighed the time and cost so ended up buying enclosures on the cheap. Lastly, I bought the most expensive piece which was the amp to run sub.
after all the purchases I started wiring and putting things together.
