I just received what I think may be the first edition service manual. I haven’t found a date on it anywhere which is what makes me think first model year. Let me know if this is incorrect or if you’d like other photos.

I have that manual too. I have two 68's one is a parts truck. Both have original drive trains. Trying to find front end brake parts at the present.

i have also confirmed both A 1968 and a 1980 use this OEM key blank below in both the side doors and the rear electric window ,

ALL locks 1968-1972 also FYI

I actually have the original key for one of the rigs. And yes it looks just like that.
