Ya, I've read some good things about RF.

Retirement never looked so fun!! If you're interested let me know when the time comes for a roof rack (or anything else), I'd love to CAD out a design for you in my spare time. It'd be easy to calculate overall weight and material needed, bend locations, etc. I could also "load it up" with weight and see how much the material can hold before it deflects so you could find the optimal mix of an ideal weight to strength ratio, hell, I can even put 65mph wind through it to test the aerodynamics :D. I'm still right around the corner, hit me up sometime....D

Phase 3 complete! Finally a name brand plasma cutter popped up on CL this weekend for a reasonable price just down from G's old house in GP. This can cut 3/8" which should be the max I ever need to go. Its hardly used and came with a bunch of little extras. I only had a few minutes to screw around with it on some fairly thin metal but it works great. It cuts amazingly fast! Now I just have to learn how to use all these new tools! Had to make a heart for my honey, if I actually had a pattern to follow I could make it turn out pretty decent but this is the first time I've ever even used a plasma cutter.

Nice as long as you didn't buy it from a guy named Josh just down the street from where I used to live

No, it was a guy named John who is an electrician with 3 girls up off of NW Lassen. Super nice guy.

I think I saw that and it looks like it was going for about 1/2 price. Keep a drier on the air and it will be much happier. Plasma cutters are really good at making your power meter spin really fast too, just like a welder!
Cool, now just for a tube notcher and CNC plasma table..
