Good question - the reasons for the lift are:
1, to lose the AHC. I'm sure I don't need to go too far into this, seems to be a pretty common opinion here.

I have a truck with AHC and one with a full OME kit on it with the diff drop. I won't be pulling the AHC off my other truck until it has some sort of catastrophic failure. Unless you are carrying LOTS of weight, the AHC is probably just fine. Failure rates are not as frequent as people would have you believe.

Take the path of least resistance for a while. Put on new tires and get used to the truck, drive it for a year and see what you really need. Learn about your truck. Call Christo and get him to help you decide. I did, and am very happy with my OME truck.

^^^^Agree. I had AHC on my LX....worked great for most part until I put the heavy front bumper and 12k winch on it...along with a heavy dual swingout rear bumper....and heavy sliders. Then it started having to pump up at stop lights and every morning due to extra weight.....losing pressure...or both. So bought a suspension lift on sale (Camel 4x4 had the Ironman for 10% off and Free Shipping for Christmas)....and stored it at house until I needed it. Got to a point few months later the up and down adjustments were more frequent so went ahead and replaced it beforehand.

I would focus on tires, sliders and other little things that might need to be done first....and only remove AHC if you must. It is a fine system both on road and off.
