My truck has OME shocks, Toyota rear springs, and unknown front springs. The ride is quite harsh when unloaded as you would expect from a single cab truck, which is the problem as I use the truck as my daily and for everything else too.

I'm looking at fitting a Terrain Tamer kit, using Smart Coil front springs, standard weight parabolic leafs and their own brand of 'medium' valved shocks. The lift would be about 2" and I think it's currently around there, and I'm happy with that.

So, anyone used these parts? I'd like to use them as I have a dealer in the country so have some backup if things fail or whatever, but I've no idea if they are good quality, or garbage or better options around for similar coin?

I should say my truck is a VDJ79 single cab but still interested to hear from owners of other trucks.

Are you happy with it? Do you have the standard type shocks or the remote reservoir adjustable ones?

Thanks, it's good to hear. I'd like to see some photo's if you don't mind? How are the remote reservoirs mounted?

I'll snap some shots later this evening when I get home. I'll make sure to take a few photos of the reservoirs.

I believe the truck has a nice stance.

Thank you, they look good quality. Are the bodies of the shocks & reservoirs stainless?

I'm running the TT setup as well with the RR pro shocks. I've gotta say, I was rather and still am, quite disappointed in the shocks. The springs are good, I'm running the parabolics and i like them so far. However, the shocks are valved to stiff imho, and I'm running as much weight as anyone really can on the front, and 350-400kg on the rear. The steering damper is weak imo as well, compared to the fox that I'm now running.

If I'm buying new suspension again, I'm going with the fox setup. Think it's dobbinsons coils and fox RR shocks. I have driven 2 different vdj79s with the fox shocks and it is a seriously good setup. They Will custom valve the shocks when you order them to suit you as well. I dislike the way that the pro shocks are so stiff so much so that I have ordered the fox RR shocks to replace them with. So I will have TT coils, parabolics, fox RR shocks and have already installed the fox steering damper. Fox stuff is available through partsmandan. I'll will sell you my 500km old TT pro shocks if you want them. As far as build quality is concerned with the TT springs and shocks, it's definitely in the higher echelons.

Also, if your lifting more than 2", for radius arms have a look at the delta arms. Mud vendor, and imho are made way better than anything else, including superior.

Also, there is no clearance issues between the reservoir and the tire at max suspension compression. Both on the HDJ79, and the VDJ79. 305x70r16.

I bought my kit at the same time as @Indestructible 47 - Loved the springs, especially the parabolics and the shocks are very good quality, but I also agree they're set up for a heavy truck. I was happy with mine on the front with a big steel roo plough type bullbar and the V8, but the back was always a bit harsh. I would say a second battery and winch on the front and a touring type body and it would be perfect. They're good quality, but if your truck is lighter, maybe not the best choice.

Is that reservoir tough enough to take a sharp rock thrown up by a tyre?
I would say so, seemed like it was machined out of a piece of aluminium billet.

Thanks guys. I'm going for the 'medium' valved standard shocks, Smart Coil front springs and the standard weight parabolics. The Pro shocks add another £1k over here and I cant really justify that extra cost. Glad to hear that the quality is up there though.

They say between 20-50mm lift with this setup, I've got castor correction bushes fitted to the original arms but will have a look at those Delta radius arms too.
