Terrain Tamer suspension any good?

Thanks guys. I'm going for the 'medium' valved standard shocks, Smart Coil front springs and the standard weight parabolics. The Pro shocks add another £1k over here and I cant really justify that extra cost. Glad to hear that the quality is up there though.

They say between 20-50mm lift with this setup, I've got castor correction bushes fitted to the original arms but will have a look at those Delta radius arms too.
You will be very happy with the smart coils and parabolics. You will most likely see 50mm lift with them.

The delta arms are nice, but you shouldn't need them for 2", standard arms and caster correction bushes will do the trick.

I'm also changing to an MDT Tru tracker diff housing, anyone else running one of those? I need to figure out the most economic way of getting it back to sunny Scotland!

The Terrain Tamer kit arrived today. Hopefully get it fitted this week.

Job done. The front end is a definite improvement, however the rear seems a bit harsh. I'm going to tray a bit of weight in the back and see how things go.

My springs took a couple of thousand km to settle in

Do you find much difference between them being new and settled in?
Yes, when new they were a bit harsh. As they settle the shackle angle increases which seems to take the shock out

My TT leaf pack looks a little different than yours. :)

They are, I was curious to know what his leaf packs were rated for as well
Other than the TT name I see no other identifying marks on the springs.

Whoopsies, my bad...should have read the thread properly...

Bumping an old thread I know but am trying to work out a decent shock for a GRJ78. I will go with TT smart coils and parabolics, but struggling to find a shock that gets my interest. currently running Fox2.5 with DSC on my FJ, looking for something less fancy for the 78 but would have liked some adjustability for different terrain.

that's because yours aren't parabolic springs ;)
I thought “parabolic” was something you got if you didn’t eat enough vegtables. 😊

Oh mate, I guess you mean "anabolic"...
It seems that these words, borrowed from the Greek, can "be Greek to you", as to most people"! 🙃

PS. By the way, I am considering to use a Terrain Tamer suspension kit on my BJ45 PickUP (although it sems that "parabolics" are not available yet for the 40-Series)!
