Telluride day trip 9/21

Our original plan was to camp for the weekend but that did not come together on Friday we we day tripped it on Saturday. Given the weather on Sunday I'm happy I was not towing the camper down from Alta Lakes in the snow.

Decided to drive Bolam Pass to get there and the plan was to come back on Ophir. We had lunch in Telluride and then proceeded to go scope out Alta Lakes. Definitely somewhere we will go back to soon and camp. The day got late so we opted for the HWY home. Anyway enjoy the pics.

Nice run! My favorite loops are Black Bear to Imogene or Ophir. Alta lakes is stocked with trout and has tons of rises early in the season.

Sorry no map file. I'm booked this weekend with family stuff. We got snow on Sunday, and I believe the forest service closed many of the trails in the area for the season. If your planning a trip check with them for current conditions.
