It’s the W3 6.5” I had to add a spacer (1/2” or 3/4”) to get the depth needed to fit in the box and then I had to trim the grill so it wasn’t touching the speaker. I thought I had a picture of the grill after I modified it but I can’t find it.Which model JL is that? I'm currently shopping on crutchfield for a speaker.
Did you have to modify your box?
I have the JBL stock box that I'm going to reuse.
I didn't know those things existed, but that helps a lot. I just looked some up and they're pretty cheap. Like $10. Okay, now I gotta find a JL speaker in stock. It’s the W3 6.5” I had to add a spacer (1/2” or 3/4”) to get the depth needed to fit in the box and then I had to trim the grill so it wasn’t touching the speaker. more importantly, how's it sound? My Fender sound system in my Golf R is so nice for factory with good bass. Granted the Golf is a tiny car compared to the LX just need a little more bass in the cabinIt’s the W3 6.5” I had to add a spacer (1/2” or 3/4”) to get the depth needed to fit in the box and then I had to trim the grill so it wasn’t touching the speaker. I think this Kicker shallow mount sub will fit with minimal mods to the factory enclosure.
