Hay if you need to us a drillbit 3''1/4 widdddde hole i have one for that snorkel
i have like evry size hole saw up two 6 inch i work on boats , with a guy thanks tho!
Does anybody no the sound of a timing belt going out? It does not sound to good, i was wondering if someone heard one before.

Can't say I have on teh 3.4 Mike. I sold my Taco with 75K on the ODO so never changed it and on my 98 4-Runner with the 3.4 I went to change at 70K and it didn't need it so I drove it to 100K and changed it. It still didn't need it but going back and forth to TN I didn't want to chance an issue 30K over the the suggested interval. I hated when they started the timing belt crap they figured it out and went back to chains. With chains when the guides break and you hear them start slapping the covers its time to change it usually 200K into the break in
Its easy to take off the top TB cover and do an inspection of the belt thats what I did on the 4-Runner when I saw the belt looked good.
Looks like i be checking it out tomorrow after work .

I'd say you got your $ worth out of it
timing belts are made of rubber they don`t make noise they just go bye bye its all da udder stuff that they come in contact with that make noise
most prob the water pump or t/b tensioner or idler .
no matter though you change them all when you go in.
make sure its not an accessory drive first
take alt ps a/c belts off one at a time c if noise goes away if not
PS change the thermostat while you be at it

Thanks Paul for your $.02 . When i came home today the noise stop . I took off top plate and it look in side. The belt look little dry i say it time for a new kit.
I dont know, what sound does an empty wallet and two new heads make?
guess that depends on the sound the two heads are makin when you present the empty wallet to one of the heads
I did a timing chain years ago on my 22r motor . A belt looks a little easier.As long as you are at TDC on # one piston it should be o/k
Anybody here ever put a car muffler on a Generator? I have heard it quiets it quiet a bit compaired to the stock spark arrestor that they come with.
I have been eyeing the eu2000i hondas but after reading a bit it seems those are not able to run even a little 5000 BTU air conditioner without popping the inverters on them. I figure if I can get my 5500 watt generac quiet I could run the a/c plus lights, no problem. Hotplate for cooking would be nice as well.

don`t c why it wouldn`t work just fine so long as ya mount it well so as not to stress the flange keep us informed
thats bull! we have installed the honda eu2000 on work boats with ac units on the roof and it woked just fine!i can talk to the guy i work with to see exactly what ac it was and holla back ! those hondas are great!

Mostly for time reasons and the ease of going pick out what I want. I want it sturdy as we'll be sleeping on it.

also lowes & depot should have lage piano hinge.
and remember as we age we have to deal with gravity so make stout ya will need it in the near future
