Tech Day at Stump's Garage 25 April. (1 Viewer)

On another thread, I offered to host a tech day at my place in Waldorf. I can support wrenching on multiple trucks simultaneously with air, parts washer benches etc... Also plenty of room to spread out, you can even test your work out on a (short) trail in the woods, if you want.

Hell, while we're at it, if you want to camp in the lower yard and work Sunday, we can do that to. Though, if anyone is going to do that then I might just have to add my OBA install to the list.

The questions are:
1. Who wants to trek down to Waldorf (20 minutes South of the 495 Branch Ave exit). Really not that bad.
2. What day works for most folks? I'm thinking or May 2nd. Easter weekend and April 11th (media blasting @ @iptman 's) are out. April 18th is a maybe (planning to watch @matzell race at Chaos then wheel). Other than that, I should be open.

Let's hear it.

I don't have any pressing maintenance on my truck but I'll still post to help wrench if I can.

I would like to participate. I am available May 2 in the PM and May 3 and May 9. May 10 is mother's day so I'd be risking it by going to Waldorf.

I would appreciate help with the front axle service and the oil leak(s). I'm fairly certain I need to replace the distributor o-ring but once I have it steam cleaned I may learn more.

I've never done a PHH but I think the process is fairly well documented on here.

I have done a few and they are as-advertised — not fun. But they are doable. Find the guy with the smallest hands and skinniest arms. Or pull the engine.

It's not bad if you pull the starter and the top half of the trans dipstick.

I pulled the trans dipstick, but not the starter. Good thinking.

if you pull the starter you can get your elbow in there and it's easier to maneuver.

Sunday is a much more likely day for me to attend. I work most Saturday's in spring being the busiest construction season.
