Looking for the collective wisdom here. Considering the renewed tariff-related threats by the current admin against JPN, am I at risk of getting hit with an MSRP increase by Lexus/Toyota if I wait for the 2-row OTs to land?

Deposits for 2-rows are non-refundable so far. Hence, my dilemma. Also, don't really trust dealers. I am sure they will say: oh yeah, buy now or cry later...and keep your deposit refundable.

i special ordered a ford raptor. They wouldn’t uphold the original msrp. One of theNon refundable is good. Build one online and send it to the salesperson with the msrp price on it.
During Covid also. Gen3 Raptor. I sold it for more then I paid thankfully 5months later.Weird they upheld my price on an F350 single rear wheel during covid.
Yep, but then I am tied to that dealer and if they low ball my trade when it lands I am stuck...it's a struggle.Non refundable is good. Build one online and send it to the salesperson with the msrp price on it.
Oh the games. If it’s a dealership that does add ons, tell them to leave all the nonsense off.Yep, but then I am tied to that dealer and if they low ball my trade when it lands I am stuck...it's a struggle.
Ah, that's a given. I am more worried about how much they will pay for my trade. It can vary dramatically between dealers and if I put a non-refundable deposit down the dealer will have the upper hand knowing I can't just walk away without losing $5k.Oh the games. When you're ready, get quotes from GiveMetheVin, Carvana, etc.. Show the dealer the highest quote. Dealerr will come back with that amount less the trade-in sales tax break. This is where the "negotiations" come in - I threw a mini fit. "I expect better treatment as a long time customer, yada yada, I'd rather sell it to the other guy than let you make a profit off my trade, etc." Then, I got on the phone with the sister dealership in front of my salesman. They quickly capitulated.Ah, that's a given. I am more worried about how much they will pay for my trade. That's roughly what I usually do too but having traded multiple cars over the years I have very little faith in dealers and salespeople. I am sure that if I have a non-refundable deposit with them, they will refuse to move/negotiate anything knowing I can't really walk away without leaving money at the table. I think now my choices are: 1) buy now and guarantee pricing accepting the third row/cargo debacle or 2) wait for the 2-rows coming along and risk a price hike due to these stupidWhen you're ready, get quotes from GiveMetheVin, Carvana, etc.. Some of us can’t really stomach that third row shelf solution poorly designed and removing it is far more complicated than the easy removal that we had in the 200s and even easier in the 100s. That said, I am leaning towards buying now and securing the current price and learn to live with it.For those waiting for a 2 row, I’m curious as to the why chance the tariff that will surely hit. Granted they say it’s slightly less MSRP wise because of the 3rd row deletion, but will it not be silly to be paying more for a 2 row once prices are adjusted with tariffs or inflation? Just wondering since you could probably buy the 2 row trim pieces in a year or two once they’re in production.
Sure, it’s not ideal but we’ve done a few local trips with it and haven’t maxed out the cargo area yet. Even had a Yeti 45 on one trip for 5 of us and it worked out. Might be harder if someone overpacks or hardcore camps but we love the OT so far and hope more of ya join the club. Some of us can’t really stomach that third row shelf solution poorly designed and removing it is far more complicated than the easy removal that we had in the 200s and even easier in the 100s.
