Every year I put a lit wreath on one of my trucks running off a 12v to 120v converter. The unit is powered off the battery and +12v is controlled by a relay. On my other older trucks, I've tied the relay trigger into a positive headlight lead via a vampire connector, meaning the converter is powered when the lights are on. But these are all older trucks and I'm OK cutting into lighting harness.

On my new 100, I'm reluctant to cut into harnesses to set this up. Is there a clean place I could tap into switched 12v (whenever the truck is ON) or the headlight harness without cutting into anything and using a janky vampire connector?

Would a fuse tap work?

Actually that might if I can figure out a way to route the wire out if the fuse box cleanly. Good idea.
