Tapping into fusible link assembly? (2 Viewers)

I need to pull power from the battery for an aftermarket amp (40 amps)... I notice my fusible link assembly has an open slot and am thinking this might be a good spot to pull power from? I've searched the forum and it seems everyone else uses a separate distribution block. Any reason not to pull power from this fusible link assembly using an aftermarket fuse like this?

You could, but I personally and many here like to keep all aftermarket wirings separate from the factory wiring. If you have to diagnose any electrical issue later on.. the search is way simple with factory wiring.

The only thing I can think of is the risk of completely frying a very expensive electrical network...other than that, it should be no problem at all.
