Anybody have any idea what the tallest tires one can run on an unlifted FJ? thanks. jcmixson

Hey noobie! Think you're the first person to ask this question in history?!?! - YOU'RE not!! In fact, you're not special at all. Take 30 seconds, use the "search" function and you will find ever single thread started by another noobie asking the same thing.

Welcome to MUD :flipoff2:

Welcome, and I hope you find some useful info on this site. Here is a search I did with tire and size in the search box.

IH8MUD Forums - Search Results

You will have to weed through some post but I would bet you can find your answer. It seems to depend on what tire as to what size will fit but in most cases I guess a 285 will run fine. I have 285 bridgestone revo's on my wifes truck with no problems but they dont have as agressive tread as some mud treads do.

It takes some time to learn the mud seach function and the best way to use it. Most folks on hear are extremely helpful but a lot of the do want you to do some research on your own first.

Hope this helps.

Quit being an ass hole and help the guy, you were a newby once as well.

jcmixson - welcome - how was your initiation to mud?

keep asking questions, doesn't matter what they are, I guarantee those of us with less talent than some of the experts on the board will be glad you did and are wondering the same thing. That's the nice thing about the board, all types, noob's, experts, wannbes, nice guys, angry guys - it takes all kinds.

re: search. screw it. some times I have time, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I just want an answer, don't have time to wade through the possibilities and if somebody doesn't like it, they don't have to post, or even read the question. You have not broken any sacred trust of the holy board.

again, welcome, and don't drop the soap

Okay, Sorry I was an ass.

Here’s the deal: I've been on the board a while and I've seen this exact thing happen 100 times (probably more like 300-400 times.) Someone gets on, asks a question that has been asked a zillion times before and then never shows back up on the board again. Its been almost 2 months since the guy asked the question and no response at all; still at 1 post. I'm very apprehensive of most of the FJC guys (I own one too, but only after owning 5 LC's). I have a feeling that the most off-road this guy's FJC will ever see is when the mall parking lot is so packed, he has to park it in the grass.

So I'm a cynical dick... sorry, but with good reason...

Someones gotta man up and bash the newbies. It's ALLOT easier to search posts when the first reply is a bash...you know that there probably is not info because it's been answered before. So you move on to the next post.

Or better yet...maby the mods should MAN up and delete the repeat threads with no info.
