Tallest tires for FJ62

Just bought a '89 FJ62 and it needs tires. What are the tallest tires that can be fit to the stock wheels and suspension? Thanks!

Unless you are going to regear, I would strongly suggest you stay close to stock diameter.

You would be just fine with 31x10.50's. I ran these for a long time with stock gears and no lift.

On a 60 it looks like. A 62 is a different beast with the overdrive auto. People throw on taller tires and complain that the 3FE Is a dog, then their auto burns up and they call it a bad tranny.

I recently went from stock diameter to 31x10.50's on my 62 and there is quite a noticeable change. Luckily my engine and tranny aren't stock anymore. FWIW I also run 33x12.50's on the rig wheeling, but in low range you don't suffer and it's livable for short highway runs to and from the trail.

33s you will fill the power loss but you are in flat land. So go 33
