Great pics from a great event guys!

Sorry to give in to the thread hi-jack, but there are a few things I wanted to say to Rusty and in general to these comments.

Rusty, I am really sorry to hear that a Trail Team member said that about our beloved FJ40's. I can't think who would say that, but it's unfortunate. All the guys I work with on this team own older Toyota 4x4's and all agree that the FJC is true to the heritage and believe in the quality of the product both old and new. I couldn't imagine someone on the Trail Team having any other attitude.

As for TLCA devoting too much attention to the FJC, I think that the amount is appropriate. There are a lot of people in this community who are interested in it and haven't been fortunate enough to see one 'wheel in person. I have been able to see this enthusiasm first hand all across the country and it's still exciting to me. Plus, TLCA is publishing plenty of other things, like stories about the early days and showcasing sweet build ups.

Look at all the pictures of FJC's from this event. This is bringing new people into our community, and I feel that's a good thing. I think as responsible four wheelers and Toyota enthusiasts we need to embrace all new members. There are a lot of people who want to close our trails, and we have a chance to get a message of responsible 'wheeling out to more people now. This influx of newer owners is also going to help a lot of old cruiser businesses and allow for some new ones to form. This is good for us all as well.

Toyota didn't just hire young guys for the Trail Teams. There are people of all driving ages working on this together. My teammates range from 22 to 48.

Rusty, I hope this puts some things in perspective. It would be ashamed to loose someone from this community over what you have mentioned.

Sorry to digress from a picture thread.

I don't have a problem with YOU hi-jacking it to set things straight. ;)

Hey it was awesome wheeling with you all this weekend! Even though I set a new record for time getting home from Iowa, it was a fun weekend of wheeling. I'll of course be there next year, and hope to see everyone back too!

Good work Kurt, Thanks!

BTW these pictures plus the ones I took will be hosted on the Tall Corn website.

Mine didn't turn out so well, but I am going to post a few of the better ones.

Glad to see its not tooo muddy down there.

I'm headed there with the Rover knuckleheads this coming weekend.
It was muddy, we just stayed out of the real muddy ravines. Could have been worse I am sure. Have fun!
