We need to start thinking about having our Fall meeting. I'd prefer to have it some Sunday night if possible, this is going to be a conference call using a "free for 2 weeks" service that the company I work for offers.

I was thinking Sunday, October 5th at 7 PM. Will that work for most? I'm open to suggestions!

Agenda: (any other items you'd like to discuss?)

Tall Corn Cruiser Classic Review
TCCC09 Discussion
Officer Nominations for 2009
IA4WDC Update

Also, we need a delegate for the TLCA Board of Directors. All that entails is getting on a conf call once a month for around an hour, and listening/participating to the innerworkings of the TLCA. If anyone is willing to step up to do this, we have a call this Thursday at 8 PM CST. Casey and I both are on the call every month, however our club is not "officially" counted as Casey and I can only have 1 vote.

Also, if you have nominations for President, Treasurer and Secretary, please post them here. Anyone that is a current member can nominate either themselves or someone else, and the nominations do not need to be seconded.

I nominate for President in no particular order:

Eric Putnam
Brent Moore
Larry Laverty

I think all three of these folks would make a great president, and contrary to popular belief, it's really not that much work...

The 5th @ 7PM won't work for me

Let's shoot for Sunday, October 4th at 7 PM. Does that work for a majority of the members?

I can do this now. I no longer have a 11:30pm alarm, so staying on the phone till 9 will not be a problem.

I wish to take my self off of the President nomination.

Thanks for the compliment Art. Just can't do it.

Thanks for taking on the role as TLCA Chapter Delegate. I'll get you added to the bodreps list and access to the TLCA forum section on MUD for bodreps.

As to the president part, I understand. I think there are several people, as I noted that would do a great job as President. The main reason that I'm not going to run for a third year is that I was appointed the interim TLCA MSVP on Thursday night and have a great deal of work that needs to be put into that. NOT that I'm not going to be active in Tall Corn Cruisers anymore, that would be blasphemous. :D

You mean Saturday the 4th at 7PM?

Seems to me I do this almost every time...must have something to with everything I have going on...I get a little scatter brained at times. Anyway, what I meant to say is Sunday the 5th @ 7 PM. :D

Thanks for catching my mistake!

Sunday evening won't work for me at all. :(

I am pretty sure Sunday will work for me!

Either day is fine by me.

The meeting will be a phone conference on Sunday the 4th at 7:00 PM and when Art gets back from Flat Nasty (sometime on Sunday) he will post the specifics and the number that will be used to call in on. I just got back and it was a good run, just not as good as TCCC- Larry

Today is our anniversary so I won't be able to make it either.

I did happen to see somebody's wife driving a Maroon FJC with a TCC banner on the back window at Costco yesterday. She was driving away as I was exiting the store so I didn't get a chance to give a shout out. Is that your FJC Art?

For those of you wondering what happened to the meeting....

Art just called me and he's still at the campground for FLAT NASTY. He had some issues with his F-GHEY Cruiser.

;p

Anyway, I'm guessing we're rescheduling for a later date.

Did it have a black top and other stickers on the back? I was at Costco 2x Saturday - once in the morning and then again around 4:30. BTW, it is my FJ not my husband's! :D

Sorry folks, got back into town tonight around 6. I'm at work now trying to catch up, I'm driving to New York tomorrow with my dad as my mom's mom (88 years young) broke her hip last thursday, had surgery that went well, and then had an apparent stroke last night and now is not able to talk and apparently half paralyzed. I'm hoping to get out there and talk to her and hope that hearing my voice will help her in someway. We'll get the club stuff figured out here in a few weeks once I get all this stuff figured out and dealt with. Steph is doing well, I'm obviously not busy at all! :D

I look forward to our meeting and will post up more things as I get on the road. Oh, and I have some REALLY exciting news to announce once I get some things documented and worked out. Anyway, hope all is well with you all! I'm doing well considering everything that is going on! :bounce:

Take Care,
Art

Jeez man- take it easy! I've done the road trip to New York (the bronx) and it's not really a lot of fun. Western NY and PA are pretty, but that's about it. Sorry to hear of your family health problems- those suck.

Bring me back a pizza, K?

Echoing what Doc said, and drive safe!

It was nice talking to you last night, and guys, Art is completely tickled pink with this news he has. :)

Best of luck with your trip Art. I'm sorry to hear about your family news.

Ahh, it must have been you., it did have stickers on the back. I was walking out at about 11am. You drove right past my black LX on your way out. I was distracted checking out a 100 series to see you backing out to my left. As you were driving away I waved, but you must not have seen. That's cool that the FJ is yours. I finally talked my wife into driving an FJC, but now I just have to wait until they come down in $$.
