Art, I am sorry to hear about your mom. My prayers are with you and your family...

Nicholas - It usually catches people off guard to find out the FJ is mine and not my husband's. That is especially true when I am driving it around dirty and with the offroad tires on it. :D

Damn..........take care, Art. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Tony

Alright folks, I'm back...just another 40 hours of seat time and 2500 miles...I'll post up a time later this week, we need to get this done.

-Art

Sunday, October 19th, 8 PM
Conference Dial-in is 8773382234
Access Code is 8248018

This will be a recorded call, so if you can't make it, don't fret (not saying that we don't want people to attend) we'll have an MP3 file that we can send to you.

And Doc, that means you don't have to frantically take notes while I'm talking 100 miles an hour... :grinpimp:

P.S. On a side note, my grandmother passed away Monday night, I appreciate everyone's thoughts, prayers and posts. It is and was very much appreciated. She lived a great life, all 91 years.

I should be there, and I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, Art. Let me know if you need to grab a drink or six.

That's what I'm planning on Saturday night after getting off the trails.

I'm home, meeting on for tonight @ 8PM CST

I'm not going to be able to call in - sorry. I wanted to let you guys know.

I'll be on the phone, not that you'll know it's me... but I'll be there.

Well, we didn't have enough folks for quorum, so we just shot the breeze for a bit. We'll try to get this scheduled again for some night this week or next.

Well, we did discuss some things... but couldn't officially vote on anything.

Nobody has asked me to say this, and I might be cutting my own throat by doing so, but I'm going to say it anyway.

Each of us as members has a personal stake in the future of the club. The club as a whole is attempting (with the MW4WDA) to gain more local access for us, as well as others- and to improve our time spent wheeling in general. As the only TLCA chapter in Iowa we are spread out pretty widely, that is understood. Art went to great lengths to set up this teleconference TWICE (first one was canceled because his junk broke and he was still on the trail) and now will need to set up a third meeting. These meetings are not free to the club we still have to pay for them. However, they are much cheaper than a tank of gas for even one of us. Teleconference will be the easiest way for such a spread out club to meet. If you can't make a physical meeting, and can't make a teleconference either.... come on guys, take a stake in the future of the TCC. I know a lot of us forgot about the phone call. I had forgotten until about 20 minutes before the meeting. Next time we'll send out an e-mail the day of the call since not everyone checks the boards on a daily basis like us OCD folks.

We need to have a certain number of votes to decide major issues. I guess the next step is to mail out ballots if this next meeting doesn't have enough attendees.

Thanks for listening to me whine a bit.

Sorry - I haven't been online since early last week....otherwise I would have dialed in! I will keep an eye out for the reschedule.

Doc, as much as some of us may not like to hear it, you are absolutely correct. I simply forgot. I will schedule it on my cell phone next time.
