It took about 6 mo, but have finally won her over and am looking seriously. Appealed to her on safety and utility; then she drove one, felt the quality and it was all over.

So - I'm not seeing any recent purchase threads; coupla questions -

-what has your experience been on out the door price with about the 31K sticker? before tags, taxes
-know any overstocked dealers that are hot on selling them right now?
-are the SE's selling at a premium, are they hard to come by?

thank you gentlemen for accepting a 60, 100 (and former 80 x 3) owner to the ranks

i dont think you will find any over stocked fjs out there. as far as i have seen the se does bring a premium price. this is why i went with stock 4x4 fj and just add what i want kept sticker at about 24000 insted of in the 30s. hope this helps you a little.

SE or TT are bringing top dollar, i got mine, a 2008 sandstorm for 28,500 out the door, including taxes and licenses. Upgrade package #1.. Shop around and you will find a dealer willing to make a deal. Right now is a good time to buy..

GL

thanks Biff, I really appreciate the effort finding this one

wish it wasn't used.

I used up my chits getting her talked into the fj, then into the TT; not going to push it by asking her to look at a used one

Baby aint happy, aint NObody happy

would you jump at 29K for a TT, sticker 33.5?

It's on the table....

29k i think they could do better. as far as the fj you call used with 3500 miles still pretty new to me. i would even consider that one.

Nice work. The FJ is soooo much nicer as a Daily Driver than the Rubicon. TT versions are pretty hard to come by- go for the Sandstorm!!

i too have an Fj love it. ONE EXCEPTION....I can't tow it behind my motorhome.....%#$$&*%&*##

Sure you can put it on a trailer :)

I'm sure if you are patient you can find a pretty good deal. I got mine in February (not a SE or TT though) and got a new leftover 07 at a much better discount than any I could get on an 08. I searched online through many dealer's inventories until I found what I wanted then the negotiation started as I was trading in vehicles too. I do find that internet or fleet sales give better discounts with less hassle than the guys/gals on the showroom.

internet sales and also purchasing through organizations like USAA (insurance), COSTCO, etc will give you big deals. I got my 08 at 500 dollars over invoice no matter what options I wanted. Knocked $5000 off price....when I asked for that price locally they told me I was crazy until I showed them the already agreed pricing if I drive 60 miles up the road to the participating dealer....of course the local dealer worked to meet that same price though he did not like it. :D

behold the power of the internet!

nothing like researching the best price on the net then cornering your local dealer with it. Keeps 'em honest. No strong-arm, just capitalism; it's my hard earned money and if they can't do business at that price, no harm no foul, you go where they can. It's the power of that information of the best deal that makes the difference.

The signature says it all!

New family picture forthcoming
