Did you price check those part numbers against the current deal going? 30% off is the typical wholesale price for parts most places so I'm guessing you'll get better once you look up these part numbers and plug them in to the site I posted. It should be wholesale plus another 25% off and free shipping. All these sites participating use "autoparts.xyzToyotaDealer.com" so this one you linked to does not.

Yes, I should have clarified, thanks everyone for chiming in... The deal at Serra looks strong!... 5 wheels shipped for 748. I'm assuming the come primed in black so should just need the paint...looked on a few threads and it seems some people aren't afraid to mount 10.5s on them. That seems like a wide tire for 5.5 wheels but people are doing it. I just want to have the option.

Well... I'm not sure how you're getting that number but Jim Hudson has them for $641 shipped.
You are indeed correct. I had the wrong part number at Jim Hudson, and the shipping there is cheaper, basically free with the shipping discount. Good catch!

Man... I want to pull the trigger on this deal but the 15" by 5.5" is so limiting. 9.5" tires give you about 3 options and none of them at ATs. The closest is the Kenda RT. The sidewalls are butt ugly, but it fits and is siped. For 16" wheels that look correct it's serious coin. While I would prefer a skinny tire, the 10.5" opens up at least 1 or 2 more doors. Notably the KO2. I would be weary airing down much on a 5.5 wheel. Is this a misconception? Even the Kendas ask for a 6" rim I believe which is close at least. The Kendas seem to get great reviews but those sidewalls... damn. The other options are the Nitto Mts, and the geolanders of course. Meh... I guess I'm too picky. Tires always give me a headache....

She’s here! Covered in road grime/salt from transport….. I was working a 24 yesterday so I had to pick the 40 up from a close shopping center around 0600 and drive her home. Well… we made it…. This ol girl needs a lot of work! This should be really fun fixing it up! I need to get all this crud sprayed off ASAP. I have hoses in my basement thawing out so I can try later. The headlights work, high beams too…. That’s it baby boys! lol. Starts, drives, begrudgingly stops. I am going to correctly center the steering wheel this weekend, try to clean up real good, order some essentials, and look everything over. I think a radiator hose needs inspection/ tightening. Little bit of spray in the bay and a a tiny drip on the leaf spring this morning after the adventure. 3 speed wasn’t as bad as people say. You just have to go from 2nd to first like you mean it. Throttle blip. I also double clutched it on down shift. I am going to need lots of suggestions when I tear into this thing. The bumper sags on the left some…. I’m hoping it isn’t a frame issue, I don’t think it is. I threw a long framing level across the bumper and then as close to the grill as possible at the back of the horns. The cadywompus was more pronounced at the bumper, and basically level from the horns back. That was my after work cold as ice unscientific tests. I will start a new thread, probably in the 40 section, but post up in “quiet in here” often (hopefully). Please follow the thread I start in that section if you are interested in chiming in and helping me out with the can of worms…. I will try and make it to a meeting soon!

I'm replacing the electronic aftermarket fuel pump with an OEM mechanical pump. The lines are kind of hodge podged now. Can I go all rubber fuel lines under the hood? Deleting the bent metal lines? If so, what fuel filter can I use? a later 40 one? The correct filter for my year 8/'72 has one side nippled and one side threaded. Is this a bad idea and is it way better to retain the metal lines? Is there a barb fitting that screws into the carb?

Thanks!

something like this for the carb inlet?

And this filter instead of the earlier one with the nuts
