I bought a trailer that had some hincky wiring. It caused a blown brake light fuse and all the traction and ABS lights to come on. Replaced the fuse and everything was fine.

Over the weekend I rewired the trailer, plugging it into the truck every so often to check things, and now the wiring on the trailer seems fine but I have no taillights on the truck.

Trailer is not plugged into truck.

The taillight fuse under the dash is not blown. I have brake lights and turn signals. No tailights, inner or outer.

I called the dealership to see about ordering a new trailer converter but the parts guy said they can't get them and it probably isn't the problem.

Any thoughts as to where to start looking? Any secret fuses I don't know about?

TIA

Nope, they're out too. Replaced a taillight bulb and that didn't help.

Anyone have a link to the FSM online.

There is a FSM available for download if you search. I would give you a link but I am posting from my phone. It is for a 2004, however the brake lights and parking light wiring should be the same

i plugged a dodgey trailer in too, and it blew the 15Amp "STOP" fuse (LH side footwell) , this fuse stops the Stop lights working and also causes the Park interlock to stop working so when you try to move from Park to drive you have to depress the little square button near the Auto shifter to allow the gear stick to move across..

Does the trailer have a battery? If so, this sort of issue have been posted about here before. I got concerned with ours when the dashboard started to do weird things with connected trailer battery and I put an end to that before it did weird stuff to the truck.
And yes, also lots of posts on converters.
