I couldn't be happier with my Hurrican tail gate. Instructions, fit & finish were great.

"Maybe a QC issue"?
Uh, right.... Latches are loose as crap (QC? No). Bolts are rusty (QC? Again, no) Carpeting is getting thin after 2 years (Also nope, factory original carpet from 2000 was fine when I took it off).
It's just a crappy product built to a price point to be cheaper than the other guys' stuff. You get what you pay for.
I've had it over two years and the latches and carpet are worn out. There is no user error, so please don't lecture me. Come back and talk to me about your experience with it when yours has seen some use.The latches are adjustable, so not sure what you mean there, maybe user error? Mine work perfectly. No rattles no issues. Rusty bolts would be a quality issue. Again i have not seen this issue but I haven't had it long. I got the powdercoat because I didn't want carpet there anyways. The finish quality is very good.
I think I got a good product for what I paid. its ok for people to have opinions and experiences that aren't yours. I do appreciate your opinion nonetheless.
I have the Mountain Hatch tailgate insert. I purchased it direct from them. Super easy to install, only negative about the insert is that it hangs up on the trim piece that bridges across the insert. All you have to do is dremel the trim and you won’t have any problems. Here’s a video of my tailgate insert install.Does anyone have any experience with this product? TIA.

Why so salty dude? Relax. You came at me for asking if you thought it might be a QC thing. Lighten up.I've had it over two years and the latches and carpet are worn out. You’re welcome... glad it helped. Thanks for posting this video. Just order this one since it looks like it fits my needs over the others. All very good options.
Did you add the padded cover? What's the purpose of the cover?Had the Trekboxx on mine for almost four years, love it, zero regrets. Highly recommended!

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I did and I love it. It's really comfy for sitting on the tailgate long-term and also helps keep things from rattling against the otherwise hard surface.Did you add the padded cover? What's the purpose of the cover?
It came with everything needed.Mountain Hatch's website doesn't explicitly say, but I am assuming it comes with the little plastic rivets used to secure it to the tailgate? They have them as a separate item under accessories. I assume that was for those who needed replacements. Can someone chime in who has a mountain hatch cover? Thanks
Thank you kindlyIt came with everything needed.
